did you try priceline for downtown fort lauderdale.. you would be better off staying on 17th street.. lots of restaurants, stores and nite life.. embassy suites,, amerisuites and others

We Booked A Room At The Super 8 On Stirling Road In Fort Lauderdale For A January Cruise. Are There Any Restaurants Or Stores Nearby? Has Anyone Stayed There Before?

 

Although they say Stirling Road on their web site, the hotel is actually on Federal Highway. The only nearby restaurants are fast food places like KFC, IHOP, Checkers, Church's, Subway etc. A bit of a walk south of your hotel but well worth the hike is a local dive called Tarks, they have the best fried clams I've ever had. They shuck em and batter them before your eyes, plop em in the fryer and oh are they ever sooooo good. ;)

Stores are limited to a Walgreens across the street a ways and several conveniance stores. If you have a rental car your options grow tremendously.
