HELP! Need Rhine River cruising info

Looking into a 9 day Rhine River cruise aboard the MS Deutschland from Basel Switzerland to Amsterdam. Would welcome any comments as I know absolutely nothing about this type of cruise. Has anyone gone?

I took this river cruise a few years ago on the Deutschland. Trip was excellent.Easy way to travel and cover lots of ground. I suggest flying in a day early to recover from flight. Amsterday is easy to get around etc. Our river boat was moored behind the central rail station. Stops along the river are lovely towns. You can take tours or do most of them on your own.

After the cruise we took bus to Zurich, where we spent another five days.

Bought a Swiss rail pass prior to trip and took day trips out of Zurich. We even got to Lugano for the day. Flew home from Zurich. You can`t go wrong with a river cruise , especially on the Rhine.
