West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale?

Is there any other way than a taxi to get from PBI to the port in Fort Lauderdale? If not, what is the taxi fare for 2 people and how long does it take?

I would look into a shuttle service or rent a car. It would be much cheaper. Inlaws live in WPB and we try to cruise out of FLL. Done it a few times and it is a good 50 minutes with no heavy traffic. Allow at least an hour to an hour and 15 mins. for traffic, unforeseen mishaps etc. A taxi would be costly. My father in law said they use to have shuttles but I really don't know anything about them. We always rent a car since we stay on a week or two!!!

A taxi would be around $100

Rental car should be around $50 plus gas (probably $5 for gas)

Besides taxi, rental cars and scheduled vans, there is always Tri-Rail. The one-way cost per person to go from West Palm Beach to Ft. Lauderdale during weekdays is $5.00 and it is $4.00 on weekends. A system map and schedules for weekday and weekend service can be found here. The line-haul travel time is about 1 hour.

I think I'll fly into Miami instead of PBI because of airfare, time restraint and land transportation cost.

Probably by shared shuttle- Tri-County probably at $18 per person. Taxi is $70 plus tip. Used Tri-County in November.
