Silversea Cruise, 10/13/07

My wife and I are considering the 14 day cruise on the Whisper from Rome to Venice (including Athens and Khudasi) in October and would like to know what kind of weather we can expect. Hopefully, someone with a past cruise experience during this time period will be able to give some feedback.

There are no certainties in October, but my experience over several cruises there at the end of the season has been warm rather than hot weather, no rain at all, and some rough seas. The water at that end of the Med is relatively shallow, which may account for the seas.

 

On the plus side, tourist sites such as Ephesus will be nothing like as crowded as in high summer and the temperature is more congenial for leisurely exploration.
