Golden Sands Apartment Hotel

Greetings!!

We need some help from a seasoned Barbados Travel/Resident. (Mr. Barbados?!?)

We need a room for one night after our cruise in mid-April 2007. Because of the Cricket World Cup, rooms are scarce and here-to-for, the only room I was able to get was at the Fairmont ($700+/night) and was just glad to get that since they were the only hotel offering rooms for one night.

Well, I noticed recently that the Golden Sands Apartment Hotel now will let you book a room for one night. ($150/night) My question is this, is it an “OK” hotel/motel? Again, we are only staying for one night and leaving early the next morning so as long as it is clean, safe and convenient to the airport, I can live without the luxury.

Any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!

I had to look this one up and send two e-mails but I get the answer that it's acceptable. A three star built in 1970 but well maintained.

Close to GA airport, ocean view and normally US$60-70/night. But you are very lucky to even get it for US150/night during CWC.

Neighbourhood OK and no worries as long as you don't expect the Ritz! :)

Enjoy your stay, my friend!
