Liquor store near MIA airport/port?

Greetings & Happy Holidays,

 

I did a search but was not able to find any conclusive information.

 

I will be sailing soon on a Carnival ship out of Miami. Since I will be flying into the Miami airport, I'd rather not carry alcohol/soda in my checked baggage.

 

Is there a grocery store and/or a liquor store available in between the international airport and cruise terminal?

 

Maybe a grocery store is better as I'd like to stop and get a 12 pack of soda and a case of beer to 'smuggle' <gasp> on board. ;)

 

Would a cab driver stop so a passenger can run inside?

Yes, there are plenty!

 

Cab drivers will do what you tell them, the meter keeps running so they could care less...

 

For specifics you can google or use yahoo maps.

Ask a cab driver or check the hotels in the downtown area. They list supermarkets, etc. in their "what's nearby, etc." listed on the website.
