Car Rentals at Port Everglades

Has anyone booked a rental car in the ship terminal area? If so which company did you use and do they offer shuttle service from the dock to their lot?

Rhonda, There are no car rental kiosks, desks, offices or lots within the secured confines of Port Everglades. Just outside of the perimeter is Thrifty Car Rental at the main entrance to the port and Budget in the Quay Plaza on 17th Street. Both also have offices at the airport (2.5 miles from the port) along with the other major car rental companies all under one roof opposite Terminal 1.

We've used the Thrifty location at the entrance to Port Everglades 6 or 7 times and have always had excellent service from them. Not sure if it's the manager or what, but this location is head and shoulders above most Thrifty locations.

 

They do have shuttle service to the ship. Their location is actually listed as being on Miami Drive or Blvd, but it is basically at the intersection of US 1 (Federal Hwy) and State Route 84 (on the south east corner)

We have rented Hertz coming and going with reservations and had no problem getting picked up after the cruise. They have shuttle buses cruising the area.

Hertz lot is just outside the port area and easy to find.(Right next to Park n Fly)
