Taxi to Port from MIA or Airport Hotel?

We (3 sisters) are staying at the MIA Howard Johnson's the night before our cruise. Would it be cheaper to get a taxi from the hotel, or would we save a significant amount by taking the hotel shuttle to the airport and getting a taxi from there?

 

Or. . . is there another option I'm not considering?

Taxis from the airport are flat rate to the port. I think it's about $25.00

 

Not sure the location of your hotel. I would just take a cab from the hotel to the port and be done with it.:D
