We just got back from our cruise and stayed at the Hilton in Galveston.

We weren't too happy with this place. They had a smoke filled lobby. The nonsmoking room also smelled of smoke. I finally figured out that the smoke smell was coming thru the bathroom vent. At this point it was after 10pm and we were just too tired to have to request a new room.

 

We won't be staying here again.

 

The cruise before this we stayed at Howard Johnsons. Howard Johnsons had cleaner rooms and no smoke coming thru the vent for half the price.

Has the old Flagship Hotel been renovated yet? The last time I was there it was looking pretty beat, but was still mildly interesting.

It looked very old. I doubt that it has been renovated.
