Does the Renaissance have a shuttle from the airport & cruiseport? Also, what kind of shopping is close by?

No shuttle - taxi is $10 - lots of shopping - I am here now.

If you book the Renaissance FLL through Princess you get a better rate than quoted in their brochures and you also get transfers for airport to hotel and hotel to ship included in the price. They also offer the Renaissance Plantation and Mariott North at much less expensive rates than online through Mariott or any other travel site.

We got the Renaissance on Hotwire. I'm not sure what kind of rooms they will give us but...hopefully they'll be OK!! Thanks for the help!!

We stayed there precruise Nov. 24 and we didn't get any transfers to hotel or to the port. We used priceline ($89.) and I did ask about transportation. I think they said $8. pp for their van but we had 4 people so it was cheaper to take a cab. Great hotel and the beds were wonderful. Nice area.

The Ren is a very nice hotel - we got it on hotwire for $114 + tax - They have a great braekfast at reasonable prices which includes coffee and fresh squeezed OJ - most for under $10.

 

The Bravo Italioano across the parking lot is a great place to eat. The Bimini boatyard is a great lunch place - just right of the hotel.

I'm booked in for Saturday night, according to the hotel operator the port shuttle is $6 each. You need to tell them when checking in.

We got the "REN" on Hotwire as well, for the same rate. Thanks to a suggestion on these boards.

 

We are arriving into Fort Lauderdale before noon, and will have the day to explore. Our plans are to take the water taxi to Las Olas.

 

That's good to hear that they have a reasonable breakfast available at the hotel.

does anybody know if we can leave our car there at the hotel and take a cab/shuttle to the port?

 

Parking is 12 a day at port.

 

Last summer, we just left our car at the hotel(Doubletree at Cocoa Beach), and saved a bundle!

There is a $12 perday for car parking. There is no shuttle but a cab to the port is $10 minimum. We had three with lots of luggage.

Sure for $18 per day you can leave your car at the Renaissance ($20 daily for valet parking) :p
