Wonderful Ft. Lauderdale beach hotel for $ 49.00

We stayed at the " Sea Club" 619 Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd. (954.564.3211) last week. It was excellent ! Room 200 had a shower seat, large bath, ironing board, fridge & was clean. The bed was good. Open air dining / bar served great food - home made Key Lime Pie ! Lovely lobby. Elevator. Right across the street from the ocean ! free beach towels ! All for $ 49.00.

Wow, that's the first time I've heard anything good about that property. Good for you, glad you had a great room. I remember it a little differantly from the spring break days back in the .... we'll never mind when :p .

Anyway, the hotel hasn't changed in 30 years in fact judging by the hotel photo's neither has the furniture. Can you still hear the beds squeeking from the room above or the room next door? What's even more interesting is the pictures of the beach on the hotel website are of Hollywood Beach, not Ft Lauderdale beach. :rolleyes:

Did you take a taxi from the airport to the hotel and then to the port? If so, can you tell me about how much it was?? THANKS
