cruisecraw Posted December 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2006 Confirmed today with Costa Rep that the Mediterranea was in dry dock this week and the refurbishment of new mattresses and bedding was completed on this ship. Let's just hope the new beds are comfortable.
shipshapegal Posted December 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2006 I was on the transatlantic that just got back and the beds were wonderful. The mattresses were thick and new. The bedding was high thread count and very comfy. Don't think they would have been changed again that soon. The drydock was for a prop problem they told us while onboard. Also, if you want, you can still get the second mattress on top like we used to do last year. But I don't think you will need to.

kchesneylover Posted December 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 13, 2006 I hope they do this on the Magica. So the mattresses were really thick and comfortable? Are you comparing this to the thin mattresses they used to have from experience? I would sail Costa again, if: (Magica) got new comfortable beds Casinos were opened later Other than that: The teatime and activities were much funner on the Magica than on the Valor.
