Got a good rate at the Comfort Inn - Stirling Rd, close - 2 good 2 B true?

I have read comments on other websites that this place is just horrible. However, i was wondering if any of you loyal cruise fans have ever stayed at this hotel in Fort Lauderdale before? Is it really that bad? I was excited to see they had a shopping center very nearby!

Do a search of the boards, you'll see many negative reviews of this property from your fellow CC cruisers. I wouldn't doubt it as this property comes up in the news media now and then , never in a positive light. Take a pass.

you might want to try the LaQuinta Hollywood, also on Stirling Rd or close. I don't recall seeing the Comfort Inn when we were at the LaQuinta, but didn't really look for it. We were satisfied with the LQ, they had a breakfast buffet and free shuttle to the port. Most importantly, we could leave our car parked in their lot as a park/cruise package. This hotel was recommended by Bequia - Thanks!

We have stayed at the Comfort Inn on Stirling Rd 3 times in the last 6 years. The last time we were there, February 2005, it really seemed to have gone downhill. The staff was friendly and the pool area is nice, but the rooms really need renovating. I also have read some posts (not sure if it was on CC or another website) about increased crime at the hotel.
