Mariner-What nights are formal nights?

Hi There,

 

Could someone tell me which nights are formal nights are the Mariner? I would like to plan a dinner at Portofino's. Mariner does not have a Chops on board, correct?

Yes, Mariner has Portofinos AND Chops. Formal nights are the first day at sea - Monday, and Grand Cayman - Thursday.

what if it's next weeks christmas cruise? we board on sunday (the 24th)......christmas day we're in coco cay....then the 26th is our 1st sea day.

would you assume that the formal night is for christmas....or would it still be the 1st sea day?

Hello! I am also cruising on the mariner on the 24th. I was curious as to when formal nights are going to be. I'd love for it to be on Christmas night! Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Perhaps we can ask the concierge. They usually e-mail the suite guests a few days prior to sailing.

I didn't realize the Mariner flipped between Eastern & Western. We are on the Eastern cruise like cruzobsessed and LuvRCCL. I hope it is on our sea days which would be Tues, Friday or Saturday. Tues. and Fri. make the most sense.

 

Michele, that's good news as my husband told me we could try Portofino's on our next trip. Guess we will just have to do both. I know Chop's is fantastic.

 

LuvRCCL, I'm guessing you are in a suite for your trip. If you do hear from the concierge could you post on the board? It should be anytime soon. Lucky you.

I will DEFINATELY post when formal night is when I hear from the concierge. I hope I hear! I know that I did when I was in the owners suite, I was told that the grand suites will get an e-mail also.

The reason I haven't joined the Mariner Dec 24th roll call is because I am on the Feb. 18th. I did just join not that long ago Thanks for the invite to your roll call. Nice to see so many friendly people on this board!
