Skimby Posted December 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2006 Hello - We are landing tomorrow morning VERY early - 9:00 AM if there are no delays quick queston- what time does the first shuttle leave from the airport to the ship? we paid for the transfers, but I'm wondering if we'll be waiting a long time, or if it's beter to hop a cab - Also, do you know how much cab will cost to the boat? Thanks!!!
Rare finoky Posted December 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2006 Flat rate cab fare from MIA to the port is about $18-$20. The transfer shuttles will not leave till they are filled up. My best guess is that they will not start leaving to shortly after 11am at the earliest.
Ascott318 Posted December 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2006 It's a flat rate of $23.00 from the airport to Port Of Miami.By the time you get off of the plane and get your luggage it will be 10:00. I would just grab a cab and go to the cruise port.We have always been on the lido deck eating lunch by noon. Have a great cruise.
Skimby Posted December 17, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted December 17, 2006 another question: If I do decide to take a cab, would I be able to get a refund of my cruise/airport transfer, or should I just eat up the cost?
Bequia Posted December 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 17, 2006 Flat rate cab fare from MIA to the port is about $18-$20. WRONG! It's a flat rate of $23.00 from the airport to Port Of Miami. WRONG! The flat rate cab fare from Miami Airport to Port of Miami is $24.00. Here's a website that will help you keep your facts straight. Not only does it show the different "flat rates" it also shows the estimated meter fares as well. ;) http://www.miami-airport.com/html/taxi_and_shuttle_service.html ////////////

Ptown Posted December 18, 2006 #7 Share Posted December 18, 2006 Skimby, If you booked your transfers through Carnival then they are non refundable. It is impossible to tell when your shuttle will leave for the port. Either way, I'm sure you will be on the ship quite early.:) Have a great cruise.
