HIA for 8 to Galveston.. what we did (and recommend!)

We flew into HIA/Bush the night before and were glad since the flight was delayed (same day flying can cause missed boats). Residence Inn was nice but had to wait more than 1 hour for shuttle. We had shopped around and with 8 decided to use LJ Cromier with Texas Cruise Ship Shuttle at 866-542-3155 (info@CruiseShipShuttle.com) It was $165 each way for 8 people, plus tip. Note the ship is cheap, but getting the 90 minutes to the pier can make up for the price discounts! LJ did a great job. Picked us up at the hotel and gave us a brief tour of Galveston. We had not been there, and it is patterned in part like New Orleans. Highly recommend LJ. He told us about 80% of folks who cruise out of Galveston are from Texas.
