Need Answer Quick!!! Tailor/seamstress On Crown??

We were supposed to leave in the morning to drive to SLC and fly to San Juan tomorrow night. We are leaving tonight due to a snow storm coming in and i dont have my DH's tux pants hemmed yet. Is there a tailor available on the Crown???

I don't know. But you can always use fabric tape and some safety pins at the seams. I'm short and have done this when desperate. They should have some at walmart if you have time to stop on the way.

I have never heard of a tailor or seamstress onboard one of the Princess ships. Therefore, I always take my little sewing kit with me. I think your only option here would be the fabric hem tape if there isn't time to have it done before you leave and you don't sew.

I would not use the tape...when you want to have the pants professionally hemmed later, the tape leaves a tacky residue. Instead, take your sewing kit and just put in a simple stitch every 1" or 1 1/2", and then carefully press them in the laundry room (use a towel as a press cloth). Tell him to be careful putting them on so he doesn't snag the hem. This will get him through the cruise, and you can get it done professionally when you return home.

 

And good luck flying out...they're predicting another 14"-18" of snow on top of the 33" we got last week (south of Denver). What a mess... I can't wait till we leave for our cruise (11 days!).

Thanks for the info...i'll sew them myself lol....UGGH on the snow...i'm hoping it stays on that side of the mountain..we are flying out of SLC to LV and then to Philly. THEN to san juan on a red eye...what can i say...it was cheap.

The fabric hem tape you iron on I agree is sticky but not the other. I sew all the time and never have problems removing it or having a sticky residue.
