Captain Marvins or Nativeway?

We want to do the Stingray City, snorkel and also have beach time. I am considering the Reef, Rays, and Rumpoint tour or going on Captain Marvins and then taking a taxi to Seven Mile Beach. Any suggestions?

We did the Capt Marvins in 2001 and loved it! We are doing it again this coming April and will then be going to 7 mile beach. I love watching the tape of the excursion, it brings back great memories. Enjoy yourself whatever you choose to do :)

Did Rays,Reef and RumPoint last month with Nativeways. They have a new boat. Cost was $60 plus tips. Well worth it. Only down side was not enough time at Rum Point. I found a hammock and never wanted to leave.

We also did Nativeway and Rum Point is amazing. It was the most beautiful beach I have seen yet! Nativeway also did a amazing job. Great tour guides.

I've done both, Nativeway just a few weeks ago. Rum Point was almost as beautiful as Tahiti, don't miss it.

We are considering Capt. Marvins for March on Conquest. I haven't heard of Nativeway or Rum Point as first trip to Cayman. What is Rum Point and did you go to Stingray City with Nativeway?

We just returned from doing Nativeway. Went to Stingray City, Barrier Reef, and Rum Point. We had excellent guides that made sure our group all had as much stingray action as they wanted! Some boats out there had ALOT of people on them, ours had no more than 24. Rum Point was awesome, just not enough time. We have not done Captain Marvins but would completely recc. Nativeway.

Conquest is in port from 9-4p.m. Does anyone know if this is when tenders start? Not sure these hours will work with Capt. Marvins or Nativeway. Has anyone done one of those tours and been on the Conquest?

Tell Nativeway what date and ship you are on and they will tell you what is available - remember Ships time is not Island time in this case!!!!! Tell them at the time of booking and they will make arrangements to get you back on time.

Have done the Rum Point with Nativeway, and will be doing 3rd time in 2 weeks - love it!

The Rum Point excursion starts with Stingray City, then a snorkeling site. Next lunch orders (lunch included) are taken on the boat and radioed ahead to Rum Point. When arriving Rum Point, the lunch is ready on beach picnic tables, then after lunch you have 1-2 hours on the very nice beach before returning to the dock area.

:eek: We are booked in Captain Marvins in February for Stingray/snorkel. We'll have some kids with us. Not really sure about the size of the boats do they have a bathroom? If not, I guess the other options are hold it or..... contribute to the ocean?

We've used Captain Marvin 4 times - the boats we've been on all had small bathrooms. There will be cold water and fruit punch (red, like Hawaiian Punch - very nostalgic!) for you on the boat. They're especially good with kids; very patient with beginners, and with little ones who might be a little freaked out by the waves or critters. You should have a great time!

The Buccaneer was the nicest catamaran out at Stingray beach. All the charters go to the same spot so you might as well sail in a little luxury.. Most of the boats going there were not catamarans.

I did the RRR tour with Nativeway. We were on the Conquest and had the best time. There was 14 people on the boat and we all received very personal attention. I think that Grand Cayman was my favorite stop of the tour. Even though the rays freaked me out just a little :) Be prepared for a shocker when ordering drinks at Rum Point, $10 a pop kinda steered us away.
