Stingrays at castaway cay

They a giant pen next to the beach. You show up at the shack where you are given you mask and snorkel. They then give you a short presentation on the stingrays. They then lead into the water

They have some platform just under the water. The stringrays have been trained to swim throught looking for a small black board where you put your hand on top with some fish stuck between your fingers they then swim across it and and suck the fish out of your fingers. Really neat. Afterwards you can swim around inside the pen with the rays. You can do this as long as you like.

Oh yes they have some big bins where you can put your stuff while you are with the rays.

As to hints, just remember two main things. One, remember to do the stingray shuffle when walking in the water. The guide will teach it to you, basically do not pick up your feet when you walk, shuffle them along the bottom. Second, remember NOT to touch your hair once you have fed the rays. Rays have been known to try and nibble at hair if it smells like food. I did the rays in October on CC, and it was an easy adventure. After you feed the rays you get the chance to swim with them in the enclosed area. All the rays are de-barbed, so it is safe in that aspect. Enjoy
