Pantyhose are much of a muchness and personal preference. The only difference I can add is that at Macys/Bloomies etc you can get open toe sheer panyhose for peep toe shoes/sandals. They have a small sheer thread to go between your big and second toe like a flip flop.

I once bought Christian Dior pantyhose for a ball and they shredded as soon as I put them on, I personally wouldn't spend alot of money on sheer pantyhose again...

Have you been in an RCCL dining room on a previous cruise? I only ask because though most posts here are of the "dining room is freezing" variety, as a person that is ALWAYS cold, I never was even slightly chilled in the dining room on either of our cruises. I took wraps, but never needed them, and I wore sleeveless every single night. No hose, sleeveless, and no wrap...our dining room (AOS) was extremely comfortable.

I can appreciate that wearing a skirt leaves a lady's legs and thighs rather more vulnerable to winter cold, but given the availability of warm hosiery

an an indulgent way to keep your legs warm and stylish on chilly days.

Thank you Derf..I enjoyed the article on Trouser Ban, it was hilarious!

I love the British, they can expertly write a novel about something as inocuous as pants versus skirts and turn it into a revolution. Too bad our fervent jean supporters weren't as eloquent.:D
