Infinity - Adjacent Balconies

Recommended Posts

Because of the Itinerary, we've decided to sail on X with another couple.

We've taken adjacent cabins and were wondering whether the partition between the balconies are "openable" ... 8th deck.

If it can be done, is there enough room for four people to fit around a table to dine, or would it just be too narrow?

TIA

No. They are bolted and welded in place.

It would be helpful for us to know what cabins you are in. Generally, it would be very close quarters and you may not have a table big enough to dine on unless in CC class.

Some balcony cabins do have oversized balconies that would accomodate a table and four chairs. For example 2C cabins 6016 through 6035 have double sized balconies. CC cabins 6135, 6136, 6143 and 6144 have very large balconies. All AFT facing CC cabins have @ 10' X 20' balconies.

TIA

Infinity is a great ship. Enjoy your cruise.

The "bolted and welded" pretty much answers it ... thanks for the info.

After looking at our docs, the cabins are 9069 & 71, not one of those end or aft cabins. They are CC cabins but (as an X newbie) understood that the only difference is "stuff" that they put in the room, not physical space or furniture. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

In the meantime, have a Happy New Year!

Yes, almost all CC cabins are identical inside. There are a couple that are a little differently decorated and some Handicapped ones that are wider to accomodate wheelchairs.

Actually, your understanding is incorrect if you believe they are identical to the Dulexe Balcony Cabins (2A, 2B, 2C). Besides the "stuff" in the room the CC cabins on M-class ships (Millennium, Infinity, Summit, Constellation) are 191 sq feet with 41 sq ft balcony versus 2A, 2B, 2C cabins 172 sq feet with 38 sq ft balcony. That is for "normal" cabins. There are exceptions in both categories which have somewhat, to much larger, balconies.

And a Happy, safe, prosperous New Year to you. (It's here in 40 minutes)
