StefanieMS Posted July 22, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2004 Wow Jeff! Thank you!!! I have been getting conflicting answers about dry cleaning on board for months. Now I know the answer, although I don't like it . At least they have laundry service, because I am not going anywhere near a washer or dryer on a cruise :D . dotcruiser Posted July 23, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Who the heck would want their underwear pressed? Or a pair of socks?
kiberkid Posted July 23, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2004 Who the heck would want their underwear pressed? Or a pair of socks? My Mother In Law used to press everything. My husband & Father In Law always had creases in their socks & their underwear..... I like my way of doing laundry better.... My iron lasts for years & years & years... hers used to wear out from over use.........
itzkaren Posted July 23, 2004 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2004 On our recent Pride cruise (7/11).....they offered a laundry special. On Thurs night (5th night).....they left a decent size plastic bag and a form to fill out. The special was.....fill the bag with laundry to be washed for $15. No "per piece" charge. The form asked for room # and an inventory of bag's contents. We put in mother & daughter underwear, bras, nightgowns, socks and a couple pair of shorts. On Friday afternoon........laundry was returned washed and folded......no pressing needed! It was nice to have some fresh replacements after the EXTREME humidity in Mexico! Not sure if they do this on all cruises.......but we sure enjoyed the treat! Karen
serene56 Posted July 23, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 23, 2004 LOL Karen I had to laugh when I read the laundry bag was a decent size, On our sensation cruise that bag could hold a sneeze and not much else. Hopefully the bags got bigger over the course of the years.
mnsawyer Posted July 25, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 25, 2004 We sailed on the Triumph in March 2003, and the laundry special bag was very small. I'm cheap and don't mind doing some ironing and a couple of loads of laundry on a cruise but know I'm in the minority.
