Airline Baggage Checkin - San Juan

I've read various things about the baggage valet service being offered for some airlines/some ports. Was wondering if anyone has recently used this service thru Celebrity, for US Air, in San Juan.

 

One other question... we've had to wait until 3 hours before flight time in Ft Lauderdale to check bags at the airport... anyone know if the same restriction exists for US Air in San Juan?

When we got off of the Constellation in Feb of '06, USAIR had a check-in counter just to the side of the area where the baggage from the ship had to be claimed. We just rolled it over and got it when we got off of the plane in Charlotte. Very simple and worked well.

 

One thing that we did which I highly recommend was to print boarding passes while on the ship ( depending on which ship and which itinerary you could also possibly print them from an Internet Cafe) which really does simplify a lot of things.
