Singapore disembarkation

We are travelling independently and disembark the Spirit in Singapore. AS our return flight to the UK isn't until 2300, we were wondering how to fill the interim period. Does anybody know if Seabourn offers an optional tour on the last day with return to the airport, or in fact any other alternatives. Or should we book a dayroom somewhere. Your help is appreciated.

Hi,

You could certainly book a day room at Changai Airport, they sell in 6 hour blocks if my memory is correct. Also the airport offer sightseeing tours, I know if you are in transit they are free but you may want to go to the Changai Airport web site and find out more information. Singapore is a transit stop for many flights from Australia to Europe and reverse and therefore offers all sorts of tours to get you into the city. I'm positive if you do a bit of internet research you will find lots of choice.

Have a wonderful cruise.

we just went through the same thing..our ship, Silver Cloud arrived at 0900 and our flight home didn't depart 'til 2245. We checked in online on the ship and then, on arrival in Singapore we took the ship's transport to the airport. We were able to give the airline our bags even though it was about 12 hours before departure. (Many airlines at Singapore have an early check in desk. Look at the Singapore Airport website for details).

After leaving our bags we easily passed through Singapore immigrations and went airside. We had a nice lunch at one of the restaurants, meandered through the myriad of shops and then went to one of the spas and got massages. We then "entered" the city-state again and went into the city for a nice dinner at The Regent hotel and then went back to the airport to catch our flight.

THe day passed very quickly...surprisingly so.

The airport offers free two hour city tours and free transport to/from the city for those passengers who are in transit. If you tell them that you're going from the ship to a flight they'll consider that a transit and offer you the transport/tour if you so desire.

Hope this helps!
