Room directly below smoke stack- Any soot?

Soot is just ash, so no, it's not a fire hazard.

 

It is hit or miss, reading here. I've had a couple of aft cabins, and never have experienced it. You would have more of a chance seeing it up on the rear lido deck, and I've yet to see it there either.

 

You might better define what you mean by "directly below", though.
