scooby4048 Posted January 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2007 Hello Everyone - :) New to RCI, the family, DH, DS's (2 ) and myself, will be taking a cruise this fall on Enchantment of the Seas, wondering if there's a difference between a family balcony and a junior suite??? (I know the size information from searching the website. Looking for actual family input on which is better for 4 people.) And is it worth the extra money??? Thanks for all the help in advance and Happy New Year!!!!!!!
RevSmith Posted January 6, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2007 You must have 5 or more in order to book the family suite on Enchantment. Sorry. There is not a lot of room in the Junior Suites, really very little difference (except in bathroom and closet space and maybe two more feet of cabin space). I don't know if the suite is worth the extra money. I would book one balcony and one inside suite...then you would all be cruising in comfort. But remember, one adult has to be in each cabin with children (on the booking, that is). Or two connecting outside cabins, that would give you plenty of room and you could still see out, just not go out. Rev
scooby4048 Posted January 7, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted January 7, 2007 Thanks for the reply. But I don't think I want my 13 and 9 year olds in a cabin by themselves... So I guess we'll be a little cramped...... But we'll be cruising :p
Crackerjack Posted January 7, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2007 My family consists of DH, DS(9) & DD(7). We have gotten a JS on Grandeur the last two years - however I have been in a D1 and it's a toss up. The reason we like JS's is because we wanted an aft cabin and had to get a JS. There's plenty of room and the boys will have fun no matter what - it all comes down to if you want to spend or save the extra $. If you have an extended family member that wants to come along, the family suites are very nice! Our friends have their nephew and his friend join them and there was plenty of space for all. It can sleep up to eight, but I can see that being a bit too crowded! Have fun! J.
