jimbug Posted January 7, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2007 If you need a precruise place with tons of other cruisers, *definitely* check out the LaQuinta Inn & Suites FLL/Hollywood. We stayed there in March and the place was crawling with other cruisers---they have a free shuttle to/from airport and cruise port. They offer a pretty decent free breakfast the next morning, and when we went down there, there were TONS of people all excited about their cruise. It's a great place - within walking distance is a huge movie theater and several restaurants. Within a mile or so is a nice/newer K-Mart, Old Navy, and lots of other stores, but I'd try to beg a ride from the shuttle van or rent a car to go that far. yst347 Posted January 7, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 7, 2007 There is a Walgreen's one block west on 17th street on the opposite side. It is very convenient. You will find a Publix market and all manner of stores about a 1/4 miles further west on 17'th. There are also alot of restaurants in that area.
