I finally had time to work on my blog and write a fairly comprehensive review of our cruise aboard the Regent Seven Seas Mariner from September 20 - October 3, 2006. This was the Northwest Passage portion of the Grand Asia voyage. We departed from Whittier, Alaska and traveled on to Russia and Japan.

The review includes lots of photos. Hope it helps those who have yet to sail on the Mariner! If you have any questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.

The blog is at http://luxurycruisebible.blogspot.com/

Click on September and October under "Archives" and you'll be brought to the review entries.

Or, if you'd like to pick and choose which entries you want to read, I've pasted the direct links to the review entries below.

Enjoy!

Andrea

Andrea,

Thank you for the wonderful review and pictures. We're booked on Mariner for Auckland to LA next December. After reading your review we're even more excited about the voyage.

Thank you, Andrea. I enjoyed reading your review and your experiences accord with mine after an Alaskan cruise last May. We found Voyager even better in October, though. The suites were larger and perhaps because we were then familiar with the Regent "style" we settled in and made more use of the facilities.

Nevertheless, we are looking forward even more to boarding Mariner again in late April to go through the Panama Canal.

Great review Andrea,

I will be doing the same cruise later this year so it was a major bonus to see your review. Hope the weather is as good when we travel but I also hope that we don't miss Dutch Harbour as it is one of my main reasons for booking, that and the fact it's a great ship.
