What time do you fly home from FLL?

Trying to find out when a good time to book the return flight home. We need to find our own transportation back to the airport as well, as we didn't book the airfare/transfers with agent.

 

Is a 11:00 flight too early? Which means we would need to be at the airport by 9:00... i'm nervous.

We just came back and had an 11:40 flight. We were off the ship at 8:10 and at the airport by 8:35. We had a long 2 hour wait at the airport. It took us about 15-20 minutes to get through security. If everything goes as smoothly as our trip you can easily make an 11:00 flight. We just got a porter to help with the luggage and the cabs were lined up outside.

Assuming everything goes ok, you may be able to make the flight. What if there is a problem at the port and you can't leave until 9?? Last year it also took us about two hour to get through ticketing baggage and security. I would try for something after 12 just to be sure.

If you do the express self-disembarkation, carrying your own bags off the ship and grabbing a nearby cab, yes it's very doable.
