smeyer418 Posted January 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2007 the Cruise terminal schedule in NY has shown the QE 2 for some time arriving in Brooklyn. I sailed the QM 2 out of the Brooklyn Pier and is was by far the easiest of the three NY-NJ cruise piers. http://www.nypst.com
Kindlychap Posted January 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2007 Sailing into Brooklyn is never going to be the same as Manhatten. But when it is cold, dark and raining, then things are even worse! Such were the conditions this morning..... Matthew
smeyer418 Posted January 8, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2007 I went this PM down to the dock to look at the QE2 boy does it look small compared to the QM2 and short really short. Looks like an old ship.... http://www.share.dell.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8AbsWrRu1ctGP3 The Pictures of the QM are almost exactly from the same spot as some of the others. Things change....Brooklyn is in Manhattan is out...

Looks like an old ship.... No. She looks like a real ship. Not like a block of flats. Things change....Brooklyn is in Manhattan is out... Quite frankly removes the only thing worth going to New York for. Had I known what an anti-climax it was going to be I'd have stayed in bed. Kindlychap Posted January 9, 2007 #9 Share Posted January 9, 2007 obviously you are not part of the in crowd..... Follower of fashion or free thinker? What is wrong with disliking New York? I'm not alone in hating it. I'm sure there are places I love that you would hate. So what? maybe you should stay in bed. Believe me, next time we come into Brooklyn I will. gr82cu2 Posted January 27, 2007 #13 Share Posted January 27, 2007 smeyer418......are the pictures you posted the link to, of the Brooklyn Red Hood terminal parking area? We are thinking of driving out from Indiana for our Crown Princess cruise in June but I'm nervous about there only being 500 parking spaces there. In your picture, the lot looks virtually empty (if it is indeed the Red Hook terminal parking lot). In your opinion, (I won't hold you to it I promise) would you say that is fairly typical for the parking situation there? Thanks!! Janet
