95glide Posted January 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2007 I'm hoping someone can give me some information on the south side of Barbados, particularly Oistins and St. Lawrence Gap. We have been to Barbados 6 or 7 times before and have seen the other sides of the island, but not the south end. We will only be there for one day in February on a cruise. Are there public beaches there? Are there a lot of beach bars and restaurants? Looking on a map it looks like there are hotels there but we are more looking for the small beach bars. Last year we went to the Boatyard. Previous times we went to Bomba's on Paine's Bay. Those are the types of places we're looking for. Any info would help. Thanks in advance.:D
chessbriar Posted January 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2007 Bob, We've missed you over all the roll call. Stop in and say hi. I was just checking to see if you were still coming. We're glad you are.
goneclear Posted January 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2007 There is a nice beach just east of oistins, I think they nickname it Miami beach not sure of the formal name. Maybe one van on the west end of the beach selling banks and sandwiches not much options. St Lawrence gap does have a beach opposite the playing field. Not the best. I would recommend Accra for the south coast.Nice beach (best on the south coast IMO) food and drinks available. hope this helps
