nancycara Posted January 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2007 Looking for a beautiful, quiet beach. Which one should I go to? Is there any problem getting a taxi to pick you up from either one? Thought then we would go to Ballahoo for some conch before heading back to the ship.
SandRaven Posted January 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2007 I vote for Cockleshell Beach too! Gorgeous view of Nevis, and an amazing open air beach bar. Wish I were going back there soon... Raven

smokin Posted January 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2007 We will be arriving in St Kitts In March Aboard the Crown Princess. This will be our 3rd time to St. Kitts. On our previous stops we have enjoyed South Friars and the $1 Caribes, This is our favorite beach. Does anyone know if the construction is still going on for the dolphin encounter and how does Cockleshell compare to South Friars. Thank You For Your Comments

tomstur Posted January 16, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2007 There are 2 couples in our group looking for something fun to do on 3/19. I tried to book island tours with 2 very promoted guides from this site, but both are booked. This late, I think we will run into this at all ports the Crown Princess will visit. The Lion Bar & Grill does sound good as a option. Does the beach offer good snorkeling or other water sports? And are taxis easy to catch to and from? How much per person each way should we pay? Thanks

tomstur Posted January 16, 2007 #11 Share Posted January 16, 2007 Beaches and Bars sound great to us too! In fact, we are leaning toward heading to Cockleshell beach and hang out there and at Lion's bar and grill. Must try some of that Lion juice I read about! babylene Posted January 17, 2007 #13 Share Posted January 17, 2007 Liz, I have been reading about noseeums (bugs) on some of the other islands. Is there a problem on any of these beaches? Thanks!
ucsbgirl Posted January 26, 2007 #14 Share Posted January 26, 2007 My husband and I went there on our Princess cruise in December, there were no taxi's available for pickup, so arrange your own. This a beautiful beach, off the beaten path, our excursion was the only one there. Word of warning, the bar doesn't open until about 11, and there are no facilities, unless you count the ocean! There are great views of Nevis, and surrounding areas but not a lot of shade. The drive to the beach is almost worth the trip.
