Seven Seas Mariner

We have been on about seven cruises but this is the first with RSSC.We are staying in a Horizon Suite and are interested in anyones input regarding the butler service (good or bad) and the quality of shore excurions onthe Eastern Caribbean iternary. (Mar 13/07)

We were on the Mariner, Auckland to LA in Dec. 2006. It was our first time on Regent too. We have been on Crystal, Silverseas. We found Regent to be our favorite to date. We had butler service on all three and Hardeep, on the Regent, was by far the best! Counter opinion here seems to be that the room steward/stewardess can do what the butlers do. I think it might be luck of the draw, some good, others not. Hardeep was trained in England and took his job seriously. A very nice young man who knew what we wanted before we did.

 

Can't comment on excursions in the Carib. We usually just shop and maybe take a taxi ride around an island we haven't been to.

We are on your cruise, also in a Horizon suite. Go to the roll call. We have a small one going, but definitely want to add to it. It's under "Other Cruise Lines" or something like that.

I would do the snorkel on the catamaran in St Thomas, and the America Cup sail in St. Maarten can't be missed.
