How do I find out if a port is tendor port?

We are on the Valor in march for the Western Carb route.

We are starting to plan excursions and Iwould really like to know which of the ports will be tendor service and which we will dock?

 

i have herd tendors can take hours on a large ship like the Valor and I want to plan non Carnival excursions accordingly.

Currently in the W. Carib. Belize, Grand Cayman, and most of Cozumel are tender ports for Carnival

We just got off the Conquest today. We were told by the crew the Conquest and Valor are taking turns docking in Cozumel. One week the Conquest will dock while the Valor will tender, and then the next week the Valor docks while the Conquest will tender. This past week was the Conquest's turn to tender while the Valor was docked. This upcoming Friday Valor will tender and Conquest will dock. You will have to get a calendar out to figure out if Valor is docking your week or tendering.

I believe that the Valor switches off between Eastern and Western Caribbean, so whether or not the Conquest will dock will likely depend on whether Valor is doing the Western route that week.

That makes sense...Could it be when the crew told us the Valor and Conquest are taking turns docking and tendering in Cozumel, they meant the Conquest is docking on the every other week when the Valor isn't around? And every other week when the Valor returns to Cozumel she gets the dock? I just know the Valor was docked in Cozumel this past Friday and we had to tender off the Conquest. Some of the crew told us they won't get off in Cozumel when the Conquest tenders, too much of a hassel. They said they just wait for the next week when it's the Conquest's turn to dock.

That would be my guess. I know for a fact that my cruise on Feb 11th is not doing Western Caribbean. :)

I'll bet that's what's going on then. When the Valor is in Cozumel every other week, the Conquest tenders and the Valor gets the dock. When the Valor is doing the eastern caribbean route, that opens up the dock in Cozumel for the Conquest to use that week. I'll bet that's what they meant by "taking turns"...;)
