New Orleans - Intercontinental Hotel to Julia Street Pier #2

Hi...we are sailing on the Grandeur of the Seas on January 27th and have an overnight hotel room booked at the Intercontinental on St. Charles Street. How far to the terminal from the hotel? How expensive is a cab, if anyone has experience with this? Just wondering about the approximate cost of a taxi fare from the hotel to the pier. Hotel says there is no shuttle. Thanks for any help.
