St. Maartin Intro to Scuba Class

My 14 year old daughter and I are considering the 3 hour intro class/dive while on the island. We don't have time to get certified before the cruise. Any suggestions/advice on whether this intro class is worthwhile? Thanks for your help!

If you're also stopping at St. Thomas on this cruise, I'd recommend doing this there instead. Conditions are usually better - calmer, clearer and with more sea life.
