New Orleans - Greyhound to Port

My boyfriend and I are planning on taking a Greyhound bus to New Orleans for our April cruise (2 bus tickets from Lafayette will be cheaper than driving and parking for a week -- not to mention less driving for me!).

 

Is there any public transportation that'll get us from the station to the cruise terminal or should be plan on catching a taxi?

 

Anyone been to the Greyhound station in New Orleans and would warn against being there for any reason?

Hi,

 

Your best bet is to take a taxi from the bus station to the pier. The taxi will drop you off at your designated pier. This way you will not have to drag your luggage if there was a bus available. :)
