Lodging close to Princess (Galveston)

Can anyone recommend a good hotel that has free parking and is walking distance to our ship? We will be cruising on the Princess Grand in April. We are arriving the day before and we plan on using a "free parking" from one of the hotels. We thought one of us would just drop our luggage off at the ship, while the other parks the car etc. Thanks for any info.

we enjoyed Harbor House at Pier 21--you pay $10 to park for the week--right on the water--you can watch your ship come in from your room-nice cntinental breakfast---easy walk to Princess---also near the Strand lots of restaurants in area-----parking area is gated---room was nice

We stayed at the Harbor House too. Great place. We took a cab to board the ship as the Grand had pulled into Terminal 2. When we came back, we were in Terminal 1 and it was an easy walk back to the hotel.

We stayed at Harbor House before our Dec 9th cruise on the Grand Princess. Ask for a harbor view room and wake up by 6 am to see your ship cruise right past your window!! It was the best way to start out our trip.

We booked online for a rate of $115 I think then called the hotel directly and received free cruise parking. Otherwise, I think the parking has gone up to $25 for the week, which still is not bad.

We walked to the terminal which was an easy walk if you have luggage on rollers, wouldn't want to carry it that far but pulling it was a breeze.

Have a great cruise!
