Handicap Accessible?

Sis. Sidewalks are ramped at intersections in Progreso and Merida. Some of the sidewalks are rather narrow. In Merida, the sidewalks along both sides of Paseo Montejo, a european style, upscale blvd are about as wide as the sidewalks in NYC. Of course the many beautiful plazas (parks) are very chair friendly and great for people watching. The restaurant staffs will be quite willing to assist.

There's a nice sidewalk along the Malecon (seaside street) on the beach side but I've never seen any sand/beach wheel chairs. I think the only place I've seen them are at Royal Caribbean's cruise resort at Labadee, Haiti. One of the prettiest places I've seen in 19 cruises.
