Funship Dollars question

Someone sent us a gift of Funship Dollars for our March cruise. According to the certificate, I need to put my booking # and cabin # and send it in to them to get OBC, at least 15 days before I sail. I was under the impression I could just take the certificate with me and drop it on my tab at the purser's desk. Anyone have experience with these? If I wait and take them with me do I lose out?

Take them with you and remember you don't have to deposit them on your account as soon as you board. Wait until the lines die down a little. At the beginning of the curise there will be a long line and most of the people in line will have a problem or be upset about something (big or little). Don't start your vacation in the middle of all that negative energy.

Last time we took our funship dollars to the purser's desk in the middle of the night as we were leaving the casino. Friends took theirs the next day....do it when it's easiest for you.

i'm doing this for the first time too in a couple of weeks. i'm going to follow the advise of the CC members who have posted on here and in other threads that you may take them w/ you. (i don't like the idea of mailing them away anyway. they're like cash).

so, if they give me a problem on Elation, i'll just tell them that CC said i cld bring them:D

I get paid every two weeks. I take $25.00 and buy one funship dollar each pay-- By the time I sail I have accumulated several hundred dollars.

For me--its a fun way of saving.

It takes at least 10 days to receive one-- so every week I am buying one and the next week I am getting one in the mail. It alsomakes the cruise come a lot faster--lol :D
