ckrobyn- Have a fantastic time on your cruise. I will be cruising on this ship in June to celebrate my daughter high school graduation. I know you were in the grand suite....we have #1274 booked. Was there enough space for you guys?? There will be four of us going....do u think we should downgrade and get 2 rooms, although I would love for us to stay together. Plus, my DH really wants the conceirge. Also, how big was the balcony?? Was the port hard to find?? Staying at the Marriott Stellaris Casino 3 days prior to cruise. Any hints, greatly appreciated. Could you find out about the new bedding and if they plan to change the pools to fresh water...thanks alot[/size]

Hi Stephanie,

Of course I will find out as much info as I can for you! You were wonderful with your LIVE Freedom thread :)

We had GS 1324 and we were 3 people (2 adults and a 9 year old DD) We thought there was plenty of room for the 3 of us, and the privacy curtain spanned with the width of the sleeping area which was really great. Do I think you will be okay in a GS vs 2 cabins? I think you will be. When the sofa bed (which is full size, not like the rinky dink sofa beds in the JS's) is closed, there is tons of room in the cabin for 4 people. The only thing I wasn't really thrilled with about the GS was the bar area - it seemed such a waste of space to me - plus there was no walk-in closet which I really missed. The balcony was really big and had 2 loungers and a table out there. I have tons of AOS pics (mostly of our GS!) click on the picture below..

Thanks for your good wishes! I will have a great time on OUR ship! ;) Yours and mine.....LOL!

Ok, ok.... I'll share.:p

What are you going to do in Aruba? Have you done the 4X4 off road adventure island tour (all day with the snorkeling)? I know i would be difficult to do something like that with your daughter (I think there was an age restriction) but it was a blast.

Wow Robin, look at you go.

I have to ask what makes AOS so great?

Wow - you have asked a question that has so many answers I couldn't possibly type them all here! I'll list a few reasons though, why I love the AOS:

1. The ship itself is fantastic - it is in excellent shape with an outstanding crew who are clearly dedicated to the ship and her passengers.

2. The itinerary is second to none - the ports are amazing!

3. The food was exceptional when we cruised last year and I hear it still is!

4. I like sailing out of San Juan and being in the hot Caribbean weather right away - instead of 2 days getting out of Florida before the Caribbean weather takes over!

5. There are NO tenders on this itinerary!

These are just a few of the many reasons AOS is #1 in my books! :)

How lucky are you?!

I know that you'll have fun.

Just every once and a while take sometime out to think of us land locked here at home :(

Only if you will think of me when you are cruising in May and I am land locked here at home! :p
