RevNeal Posted February 12, 2007 #227 Share Posted February 12, 2007 Thank's Mary! Great photo ... isn't it? I note the Noordam was docked on the otherside from the Zuiderdam when you were there. It doesn't happen very often ... but it does happen.
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted February 12, 2007 #228 Share Posted February 12, 2007 I thought you all might like this picture I took while we were in Tortola. Click it to make it larger ;) Mary, great picture:) I just love it when two HAL ships are docked together and really neat when they are both the Vista Class. The way the picture is angled you really get the feeling of how very large the ships really are and they tower above the people on both sides. RevNeal Posted February 13, 2007 #229 Share Posted February 13, 2007 I like it anytime when multiple damships are in port. It always makes for neat photographs. Like this one ... from Astoria Oregon when the Zaandam and the Amsterdam were in port at the same time. It's taken from the Sports deck of the Zaandam, You'll find other shots here: http://homepage.mac.com/revneal/panamacanal/PhotoAlbum24.html
sail7seas Posted February 13, 2007 #230 Share Posted February 13, 2007 Great photos......love 'em. Amsterdam's gangway looks particularly long. Probably would have been too steep had they used a shorter one. Pretty shot of her.
AlohaPride Posted February 13, 2007 #231 Share Posted February 13, 2007 That is quite a long gangway. Imagine the line?! And, are those tents vendors trying to sell shirts and such??
AlohaPride Posted February 13, 2007 #232 Share Posted February 13, 2007 Greg, Keaka and I had the same tour guide in Dominica for our first tour! She actually asked me to go into Duty Free and get her some vodka and gin. . .
