Getting Liquor on Crown Princess

What is the best way to get your own liquor onto the Crown Princess? Will they check your bags? And if so, take it away:confused: Have never cruised with Princess, so I'm just needing feedback from experienced cruisers!

We purchased liquor at a local store in San Juan, wrapped it in bubble wrap and then placed it in large ziploc bags. We placed it in our checked luggage with no problems. Then we checked in at the port we bought more at the duty free store and put it in our carry on luggage. No problem there either. We bought a local beer (usually 12-24 bottles) at every island and put it in our carry on to bring on ship. No problems. I know there are some who disagree with bringing liquor/beer on the ship and you might hear differently, but it worked for us and we did purchase drinks on the ship as well. We just really had a great time on our balconies with our own stocked bar.
