scilla Posted January 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2007 My hubby and I are thinking of taking it, from East to West. Our kids are grown. Will we be the weird ones? Since it's in May, I don't imagine many parents will take their school age children out of school for two weeks. Will we be totally bored? We went before on the Wonder for 3 days and loved it. priscilla
mom x4,grandma x4 Posted January 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Hi, if your the weird ones then so are we!! We have cruised many. many times without our grown kids or grandkids. There is always plenty to do for all ages. we have never done a 2 week cruise, however we would love to do it!! dont worry about being bored. They have many extra events to keep you busy on the longer trips. The great thing is you have so much time that you can have plenty of time to relax as well as do as many thing as you want on the ship. Many of the east coast schools get out in may so there may be more people than you think. We have seen many people cruising without kids, so go for it!! It will be the best vacation of your entire life!!! Good luck and have a magical crusie, mom x4,grandma x4
GottaLuvCruising Posted January 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Our kids are grown and we've sailed Disney twice with the third time next week. But maybe we are weird, too? If so, that's OK. You'll find plenty of adults traveling without little ones, particularly on a two week cruise. Sign me up for that, too!

This will be our 3rd cruise with The Mouse....and we have No kids :) They have a wonderful adults only pool and 2 hot tubs next to it. There's also Signals (bar) right next to the pool. tuliene Posted January 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2007 off topic but thanks for defining repo for me - i've been baffled over the last week trying to figure out what all the excitement was about...
lubyshell Posted January 24, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 24, 2007 I have never gone on a repo cruise but was thinking about it, i have heard that you can get them kinda cheap and was wondering if this is true, eventhough we will have to pay for airfare, just wondering... thanks
oddman Posted January 24, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 24, 2007 Try the 14 night eastbound repo to Barcelona 12th may 07. Cat 12 price is reduced for adults and children for around about $100 or so each. Very good deal.
jen826 Posted January 29, 2007 #8 Share Posted January 29, 2007 Where do you find these deals? I looked at the Disney Cruise Line website and it would be about $3,000 for the cruise. DH and I did a 14 night Hawaiian cruise. About on day 12 or so, we were ready to come home.
TrojanJulez Posted January 29, 2007 #9 Share Posted January 29, 2007 My husband and I did a Disney Cruise for our honeymoon - there were tons of couples without kids! We're hoping to go on a West-Coast cruise next year - it was such a fun experience!
