hk40 Posted January 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2007 Can anybody clarify the VA-VF ratings, looking at the deck plans the VC rooms look like they have a slightly deeper balcony...I thought the higher rated cabins were located midships, but on this deck the VF and VE are mid and the VC cabins are fore and aft....thanks, Jim
Atomica Posted January 23, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2007 The midships cabins on Deck 5 have slightly narrower balconies due to the lifeboats being directly below them. The forward/aft cabins have normal sized balconies, as due those on Deck 6 and up. Apparently, the difference is negligible - roughly a hand's length - but still shorter. IIcaptain Posted January 23, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2007 Usually they are same size you just get a preferred? deck...ie) Va is near the penthouse and Sa suites while Vf may be on a lower deck.

catl331 Posted January 23, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2007 The VDs and VFs on deck 4 DO have a deeper verandah (by about 18 inches) than any of the Vx above them on 5, 6, 7, or 8. But the bad part about the VFs on 4 are the steel wall railings. This pic was taken from a VC on deck 5. Note how the dividers and railings below stick out further. (Or is it "farther"? :) ) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=31973&d=1163375327
