Leaving out of New Orleans

My wife and I are on a 7 day cruise out of New Orleans from Dec 23 thru Dec 30 on Carnival Triumph. My question is I have been reading some awful reviews about the Triumph. This will be our first cruise so we are a little worried. Also we were wondering what the price of a beer is on board!! We still have time to cancel but hopefully someone out there will give us some good reviews. Thanks

Hey Buddy.... 16oz Beer is $5.18 with tip included and mix drinks start at $6.84 with tip included. If you buy the bucket of beer you get 4 - 16oz beer iced in a bucket for $18.63 with tip included.

 

Our first cruise we didnt pay our service grats up front, we didnt pay for our excursions up front, we went to the supper club twice, bought alot of pictures, We drank alot... I mean Alot, & called home from the Ship for 3 minutes that cost $20.97...lol This made our total on board total $1139.45

 

Our second cruise we paid the services grats & Excursions upfront to get those out of the way.... Would recommend this highly.. We didnt buy alot of their pictures... We didnt eat the supper club... We didnt call home... We drank normal and had a great time... Our onboard bill was only $301.25 total.

 

Both cruises we brought about 800 cash and spent every penny shopping and playing on the ports of call. Bring your own camera and a couple of underwater cameras if you plan on swimming. Any other info you may need reply....

Been on Triumph and I too feared the worst but let me tell you that the ship was clean and the staff was the friendliest I had ever sailed with. The food was excellent. Shows decent. Casino typical.
