We did a b2b on the Diamond in September: Pacific Coastal and Mexican Riviera. You can do either get off or stay on the ship. We were getting off to meet friends and they gave us an in transit card to use in order to get back on the ship without going through all of the check in lines. In December we did a b2b on the Caribbean and did not get off the ship. In our instructions left in our cabin a day or two prior to arriving in L.A. regarding b2b passengers we were told to meet in the casino at a certain time if we did not plan on leaving the ship and a crew member would walk us through customs. About 12 of us met there and we went right off the ship through customs and right back on. Princess has this down pat so things go smoothly.

We have done B2Bs also. When they have you meet and take you off the ship after the first leg you are going through immigration (not customs). You will go through customs (with your luggage) after your second leg. ;)

We did a B2B on the Diamond in September Vancouver - Whittier - Vancouver, we were all asked to leave the ship so they could clean as there was noro, they booked us an excursion which was nice and we had a great day:D It was a breeze being in the same cabin and loved the B2B and hopefully will get to do more!!:D
