Msc Opera 2/05/07 Partial Canal Transit

Is anyone else booked for the MSC opera 2/05/07 11 day cruise. I booked it as a partial panama canal transit, and now i have my doubts that it actually goes into the canal. I believe it may just stop at cristobal panama and let you visit the canal on your own.

You are correct. That is exactly what happens. And I feel for you taking the 11 day cruise on the Opera. I just finished an 11 day cruise on the Opera and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Nowhere in the MSC marketing stuff I have been sent does it indicate a "partial panama canal transit". They do say 'featuring Panama' in the titles, however it is quite clear that a call is made at Cristobal, no mention of the canal. Sorry you did not enjoy OldCop, plenty of others did.

I have just made a copy of the E-mail I used to book this cruise through OVC Vacation center. It says "PANAMA CANAL - PARTIAL TRANSIT". You can be assured I will be calling my agent at OVC for an explanation and hopefully a partial refund????????
