Transportation Quest - Ft Lauderdale to West Palm

I had a tough time getting a reasonably priced flight in/out of the Hartford area, so our return flight is actually out of West Palm, instead of Ft Lauderdale. I've never been to the seaport in Ft Lauderdale and don't know if I can rent a car nearby, or if we should arrange for some other type of transportation to get us to the airport in West Palm. Our flight in West Palm doesn't take off until 3:50, so we'll have plenty of time to get there.

 

There are 6 of us and any suggestions are appreciated!

Not sure about close car rental, but airport is about $10.00 away by cab & would take about 10 minutes. West Palm is about 40 miles north on I 95. Airport & cruise port close to I 95. Bill

Since you have plenty of time, look into Tri Rail. The tri rail station At PBI is 5 minutes from the ariport and likewise for FLL. It might be an alternative for you. Although you might consider renting a car.

Renting a car looks like a good option for you. Most of the rental car agencies have a free shuttle service from the port to FLL to pick up your car. Might have to rent 2 cars for 6 of you or a large van, we were able to get 5 of us in a minivan with the luggage but it was a tight squeeze.

Rent a car, it is much easier. :)
