janniebabe Posted January 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2007 After much clicking around, and realizing that there really isn't any kind of storage for luggage for the entire day before we leave on our flight home, my husband has suggested shipping our luggage home! Just wondering if anyone has done this? It sounds so nice not to have to worry about hauling anything thru the airport except our backpacks - and having it all delivered to the house 3 days later.... skacton Posted January 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2007 Are you sailing on Norwegian? If you are they have storage available at the pier in Honolulu and also in Kahului. We got off the POA on the 26th and were able to store our luggage at the port until 6 p.m. It cost us $5 per bag and we were issued luggage tags specifying that they were to go to pier storage. It worked out very well for us. We sent home two boxes of gift items we had purchased and it cost us $60 so I would think it would be quite expensive to ship home your luggage. It would have been a little cheaper to send things home via ship but it would have take 4-6 weeks to get to the mainland!
